In my internship for the College of Health Sciences, I worked with many stakeholders to design the branding around an event to build awareness for the different divisions within the school. I created the physical and digital marketing components, as well as a passport in indesign that was used to orient event participants, and also provide information about each division that can be referenced at a later date. I made custom rubber stamps for each table, and students would get stamps to qualify for a raffle as they exited the event.
We also used the marketing graphics to create cookies for the event!
Outcomes
The data we got from this event showed it to be a huge success. We were hoping for 100 students, and 115 signed in to get their complementary corn dog. University Admissions believes that the event brought in closer to 130 students. 12 students applied to the Respiratory Science program as a direct result of the event. We learned the importance of adding the question to all applications 'where did you hear about us' to get more robust data in the future!
